Shuttle Storm

Shuttle Storm ’26 · Frequently asked questions

Good to know.

Do I need to be there all day?

No. Draws and start times are posted by November 20. Arrive at least 30 minutes before your first match: if you’re not on court within 10 minutes of your match being called, it’s a default.

How many games will I play?

Events with 3 or 4 entries play round robin, and events with 5 or more play an elimination draw. Everyone in an event with three or more entries is guaranteed at least two matches. Matches through the quarter-finals are one game to 21; semi-finals and finals are best of three games to 15.

How does doubles registration work?

One partner registers the team and enters their partner’s details. The fee is per player, so pay for both or each pay your own. Both players must be entered by November 18, or we’ll pair you with another player if one is available. Pairings are posted by November 19.

Can I enter more than one category?

Yes. The entry fee applies to each category you enter. We schedule to avoid clashes between your events wherever we can.

How much does it cost to enter?

$40 per category for players 18 and over, and $30 for youth (under 18 on November 21, 2026) and UFV students. Pay online by Interac e-Transfer, or by card (3% more).

When do entries close?

At 11:59 pm on Wednesday, November 18, 2026. Places are limited, so enter early.

What if I can’t make it?

Withdraw before entries close on November 18 for a full refund. After that and before the draws, you’re refunded less a $15 service charge. Medical withdrawals with a signed physician’s note are refunded in full. Refunds are processed after the event and take about two weeks. Full refund policy

Where do I park?

A $5 all-day parking rate is being arranged; we’ll share the link or QR code before the event. Free street parking is also available along McKenzie Road.

What should I wear?

Athletic clothing and non-marking indoor court shoes. Protective eyewear meeting ASTM F803 is highly recommended on court.

Where are the full rules and the waiver?

Read the competition regulations and the waiver and release of liability. You accept them when you register; for players under 19, a parent or guardian accepts. Your doubles partner gets an email link to accept too.
